Migraine
This type of headache is characterized by recurring bouts of attacks. Often the pain is felt on one side of the head only and the patient feels well in between the attacks. Excessive worry, anxiety and poor digestion are usually the primary causative factors in this condition.
According to Ayurveda, improper digestion produces toxins causing obstruction of body channels. This obstruction results in intense head pain. Ayurvedic treatment involves the administration of herbal preparations to restore digestive function along with advice on dietary and lifestyle adjustments. Nasal drops may also be administered to nourish the cranial nerves.
